Temporary Love.
It's what's in.Everlasting love. Is it
something that's a vague display of affection or simply a hit from the
70's? Even if the feeling of love was only temporary, would you still
risk it?I don't feel love--I don't have a heart--I'm a robot.
But if I was the Tinman from "The Wizard of Oz" and received mine,
would I even bother wasting time finding true love?When I go
out on the hunt for a potential life partner, I make sure they have the
potential for years to come; they could be wifey material. Perhaps this
is what prevents me from ever finding that one special lady who will
probably do my laundry for 60+ years when we get married (or maybe my
3rd marriage by that time).But what if I only wanted "temporary
love"? A partner who I knew in the back of my mind had no potential for
a long future but wanted to share great memories with? Just think back
in your life--what were your fondest memories? They probably weren't
the lengthiest ones--birthday parties, trips with family, or finding
that $20 bill in your dirty laundry.I'm beginning to think relationships don't have to last forever, but rather, it's the memories you create.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a heart to steal from the hospital's morgue.

Temporary love is fun, short, and the most heartbreaking... in my opinion because the individual becomes so fastly attached to that person. I think when a person does enough temporary love, he or she will hunger for everlasting love and narrow that one and only person until death due them apart.

Agreed. Relationships do tend to crap out adn fade, but you can never really erase a memory, no? Even if they are forgotten, fade away to a mere whisper of what they once were, the idea, the impression they left behind alters your perception in whatever minute way.

Hmmm, I don't think there's anything wrong with temporary relationships as long as both of you agree to it and aren't clingy and/or emotionally sensitive. But if they are already seeing someone else and aren't fully happy with them then that's Pandora's box you don't want to open!!! But if I was to decide on having temporary relationships that would be a difficult thing to consider. It's going to get seriously old at one point and before you know it your old already oogling all the young girls, and I do NOT want to be that guy. Long term relationships can take a lot of effort and even work but if it lasts it can be one of the greatest accomplishments a couple will ever make in their lives...

The feeling of love could always be temporary, but I suppose it depends on what you mean by temporary. Most relationships are temporary, but really we only have a finite time in the world anyways. So why not go and try, you would never know if it works or not. Getting that love for life is a one in a million, it's all about chances and luck.
Besides, road to love was never smooth, blabhalbha.
AND it takes two people to meet half way, it doesn't work like some stupid fairy tale. Beauty and the Beast had their problems too.
