Daylight Saving Time of Your Life.
While most of you are bemoaning the start of Daylight Saving Time, or supporting Kony 2012, I welcome this wonderful extra hour of sunlight. Next to Christmas, and National Whack a Snake Day, DST is my favorite holiday. Besides, you'll make it up come fall when DST ends.
MY EYES! They burn!The good news: Your sunny days are about to get longer.
The bad: You're gonna feel like a zombie with less sleep this week.But since you're an Optimist Prime like me, I don't care for my lost hour. Though an hour is a funny increment of time. If you have to work for an hour, it can seem like the clock never moves. But if you have an hour free, that time seems to elude you in a blink of an eye. Here's a list of things I could do with that hour.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Watched an extra episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
- Get around to filing my taxes.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Changed all the clocks on everyone's PC at work.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Wouldn't have missed McDonald's breakfast cutoff time. My stomach is on strike now.
- Started a band.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Joined the circus.
- Counted 3,600 seconds.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Get married and have it last longer than Kim Kardasian's.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Prepare for Y2K.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Prank called 18 extra people.
- Slept an extra hour.
- Have an extra session of "Power Hour".
- Slept an extra hour.
- Avoid writing this post about Daylight Saving day.

I hate when we have to turn the clock ahead. I don't care if it's still sunny at 8pm--it feels like when DST begins there is less time to do things.
Days get longer the closer you get to summer solstice anyway. Time ain't nothin' but a number, baby.
My routine is going to stay the same. NO CHANGES.
DST is so win/lose for me. But I honestly take the extra hour to go running now since it's not pitch-black when I get out of work anymore.
I was shocked to find out that the day is actually still only 24 hours long. Shocked! The arrogance of the earth to think it could just...loll about on the same ole schedule even after the United States Congress had spoken.
You can prank call 18 people in an hour? That's kind of impressive.
Also, the title of this blog made me groan a bit.

I use firefox and some nights at 12:00 exactly or 12:30 exactly, firefox stops working and does not load a page. The internet connection is perfectly fine though because it says excellent. I am connected to a home router and the signal strength is always excellent. I do not know why this happens at exactly 12:00 or 12:30 on my desktop time but it's a pain.
