Fake it to make it.Ladies and gentlemen, we got ourselves a classic case of Xanga controversy here. Yeehaw! I haven't had one of these in a while.
Look at the views. Now look at the comments. Now back to me again. Did you you just furl your eyebrows? Good. Because you're not alone.@seekingxxhappiness and @openyoureyessunshine. 6,250 views and only 9 comments. 8 comments which probably came from accounts under your own creation. Your other site that sits at the #2 spot reeks of the same injustice. Other Xangans, who are far more deserving than you should be in your place right now. But they're not. @TrainTrack should be #1. Not your gif-filled site.
Are your fingers tired yet? Are you done fingering (giggity)? Honestly now, do really love your website a lot to view it that much (or-use-plugins-to-autorefresh-but-I-won't-let-others-know-because-it'll-cause-others-do-the-same-oops-I-said-too-much)? Or maybe refreshing your own page hours at a time brings you joy and consider it a replacement for cardio exercises? I hope it makes you feel better. I took .214 seconds to browse your site and it looks like some Tumblr page a 15-year old pissed out while on her period. How on earth could that many people view it so many times?

This has been going on for months now. I've kept quiet, but now you've had your fun. Now show some restraint. At least build up your audience, then fake your traffic hits. That's clearly written on page 42 of "How To Fake Internet Popularity: For Dummies". How can you seriously believe people don't know how transparent you are when veterans like @thetheologianscafe receive a regular stream of traffic, comments, but only a fifth of your views?

I've always assumed they're coded messages run by operatives engaged in international covert missions, which must be why I can't understand the appeal. But look out, because now you've busted them wide open.
Okay first of all, I know both of these sites, and they really do get that many views! Yes some views may be because of themselves. But the majority of views are from well.. Viewers. Mind you, there are some very interesting blogs on Xanga that should be front page, I agree on that. But don't you dare harass these girls just because they're on the front. This is foolish & extremely childish. I don't stand for ignorant people. Who cares who's on the front anyways? Besides yourself?

@atlantaellison - I think the question here is where are those "viewers" coming from, if not themselves. Xanga has been mostly-dead for years now.
You looking at your own page counts as a view? I did not know that.
(1) They belong to Xanga quotes groups which have between 7000-20000 plus members.
(2) They all have Tumblr accounts and their Tumblr friends are aware of their Xanga accounts.
(3) They don't use Xanga Themes. They have their own theme which is linked to their Tumblr accounts.
(4) Teenagers love quotes and gifs. Adults don't. They robbed you of your teen audience.

Somebody's getting older the end of April! I was gonna ask you what you were gonna do for your big day but...then I realized I'll be in California. DAMNIT! Why am I posting this on xanga? Cuz the thought just came to me and this was more convenient. It's like my xanga exists soley (sole-ly?) for your commenting/chat purpose.
I feel like these people who fake veiws are missing the point of xanga, I use it to express my thoughts or ideas and sometime have a place to express my general feelings and release.. these people are just wanting to seem popular ...like the kind of people that have over 1000 friends on facebook because they add every single person they have ever met but have never talked to them for more than 5 seconds! It's because they demand a certain number of recs before they'll update again, and enough people are actually willing to comply. There really isn't much to comment on in those kinds of posts, hence the disproportionate view to comment ratio. At least that's my explanation.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. I understand full heartedly the fact that my site does not warrant very many comments. Do I believe I should deserve a top spot? Absolutely not, I will be the first to admit it. I would like to clear some things up here though. First of all, I am a person. Second of all, I do not do anything to "cheat" the views I get on my website. I generally get a lot of people who visit my page. I do not have my blog to upset more traditional bloggers. I have my blog and posts because I have received countless messages from young teen girls saying that ONE quote really helped them through their day. I don't do it for the popularity, just the fact that one person felt better after coming to my site is all I care about. I respect your opinion and I respect your blog. Just please remember, my blog is my blog. Just because you (or other people on Xanga) do not like it, does not give you the right to openly belittle my site.

I think it's sad that you feel upset that you're not number one. But you know what I would rather take any other person's post to be number one than this post. believe it or not, people do get a lot of views on their picture and quote sites because girls like to look at them. Maybe it's not the same for you but it's nice to realize someone is going through the same things you are and that you have people to talk to. Xanga for the picture and quote blogs, is like our own little family we can talk to about anything. so don't be so quick to judge saying we have no lives when you're sitting here making a hate update about 2 people's sites who you don't even know.
I don't care about who is on the frontpage and who is not. It's worthless.

I honestly just like them because of the photos and quotes. Yes, I do look at those photos and quotes because I'm temporarily off Tumblr. And no, I do not comment of their posts. I mean I guess it's self-explanatory. There's no reason to overtly comment on their posts to say how great they are everytime a new post is up. And maybe that's why they don't get as many comments as other bloggers.
And here's why - they don't post about controversial topics like other bloggers. Their posts aren't thought-provoking that would require commenting and answering. They don't pose questions, unlike other bloggers.
So maybe you should consider that next time you decide to put down someone's blog. That's virtual bullying, and that's just low.

That's my "inspiration blog" and ive been on hiatus for weeks now because of school. I have a link to it on my tumblr. It's not on sign in lock and anyone can see it. Plus I have it in the blog rings or groups or whatever.
I can justify where I get this traffic because i've learnedly how to do so. If you want traffic on your xanga you must network elsewhere. Both of those sites have been around for 5+ years. Of course you'll gain a fanbase in that amount of time. Plus quotes and photos and inspiration are relatable to everyone vs bitching about your life
Can I say something? The girls from quote sites, icon sites and all those sites you DON'T like, are all super sweet girls who would never post something like this. It's a group of bloggers who talk to eachother and we really like watching those sites, so yes, those views are real.
I think it's just pathetic that you're watching the ratings on the homepage. It doesn't matter if you're number one or not, Xanga isn't about that. You don't understand the meaning of blogging: it's about writing your heart out and doing what you want. If those people want to write their heart out with quotes: fine, good for them! I like that! But you don't have to spread hate over Xanga. We never did you any wrong.
