There have been numerous trends that have come and gone over the years. As these photos show, some of these trends were way more embarrassing than others. All of us adopted one or another of these trends at some time during our lives. Kind of makes you wish you were an outsider doesn’t it?

Okay so I did the teased hair thing (not my fault ... it comes naturally), the slap bracelets, the Starter jackets (yay Hornets for the pretty colors!), the scrunchies and the overalls. I'm cool, I know. You totally forgot jelly shoes. Those were the thing in the 90s =D

I agree everything but chained wallets and teased hair. It's personally because I've been around people where it actually looks good on them.
There's this strange trend with rubber band animals.. Even though I have one, I use it. People use it to trade? Kinda strange there. I'm in hs.. I don't remember things being traded like this unless it's buying buds from the dealer.

Here in Romania, every where I look I see those ugly ass purses that women carry, those type of purses that hang on your forearm. How the feck can they wear something so uncomfortable? @Galbsadi - I had dreads but not bugs. There's a difference between disgusting people who have dreads and normal people with dreads. Just because people have dreads doesn't mean they are dirty. And the not washing your hair because you have dreads is what stupid people do. You are still supposed to wash your hair.. just less often.

Then perhaps you're the exception...but most people I've met who have dreads don't wash their hair at all, and when they're cut off at some point...they're complete with bugs. So, in general, the style (as you put it) isn't used properly, and therefore what is used as the "style" (as I've seen it) is not in good taste.

First of all, I believe that should have, could have and wish not are terms that should be avoided at all times. I think those trends were cool back then even though now they look ridiculous to us because we've moved on. We strive for change, so today those trends are odd. However, we had fun back then and that's all it matters. Part of what we are today is based on what we were back then. Forget the past. Live without regrets and always be present.

Eastland shoes, I call them boat shoes and I LOVE THEM! I loved slap bracelets when I was 10 and I also loved those big ass scrunchies! Swatches I wasnt really into. Trends of today? I cant stand bright colored pants on males or females. Like wtf are you doing wearing bright purple pants!? I also see girls wearing these shirts or dresses that look ridiculous, idk what to even call them but whatever, they have like tigers or flowers on them and look distressed and like you bought them at the swap meet. Maybe you just know gross people. I've been friends/acquaintances with at least 15 people with dreads, (I also tried them) and neither I, nor a single one of them had bugs and didn't wash their hair. There is even special shampoo for dreads, and dread educators very much encourage regular hair washing.
